Today’s topic is about the misconceptions we believe to be true: eggs… Chinese and British researchers conducted a study over a period of nine years, which found that consuming one egg per day reduces the risk of heart and vascular diseases and stroke.

For many years, experts have warned about the effects of excessive egg consumption on bad cholesterol. However, a new study has found that eating one egg a day reduces heart problems, including heart attacks . According to the study, Chinese adults who ate one egg a day had a lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease. The study focused on the eating habits of more than 400,000 people aged between 30 and 70. In the study, conducted jointly by two British universities, 13.1% of participants consumed one egg per day, while 9.1% did not consume any eggs. The participants’ health was monitored over the years. At the end of 9 years, 83,977 of the participants suffered from heart and vascular diseases, 9,985 died from these diseases, and 5,103 suffered from coronary diseases such as heart attacks.

According to the results of this study, we can see that people who consume 1 egg per day have a 26 percent lower risk of heart attack, a 28 percent lower risk of death from heart attack, and an 18 percent lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease. For those who consume an average of 5 eggs per week, this rate is calculated to be 12%. Eggs are high in protein, vitamins, and minerals. Eggs are also an important source of fatty acids and are quite low in saturated fat.
