OUR STORY

The story of Sütiş begins with Mevlüt Kocadağ — grandson of Hacı Mehmet Agha, famous in the 1850s for his exquisite pastries and bakery in Batumi (now in Georgia, then part of the Ottoman Empire), and son-in-law of Sütçü Ahmet, legendary in the same era for his puddings.

In 1953, driven by passion and a clear vision, Kocadağ left the family business to open the first Sütiş shop in Nişantaşı—laying the foundation for what would become the iconic Emirgan Sütiş today.

The opening of the Taksim branch in 1982 marked a turning point, establishing Sütiş as one of Istanbul’s most beloved pudding shops. Just a few years later, in 1986, our Emirgan branch opened on the Bosporus — forever linking our name with the city’s most spectacular coastline and connecting with future generations.

To this day, we continue to honor our success by making each of our signature puddings using their original, time-tested recipes. Over the past seven decades, the essence of Sütiş has stayed the same: service quality, a warm welcome, and mastery in every detail.

At the core of our 70 years of product and service excellence is our hospitality philosophy, centered on guest satisfaction. Today, under the leadership of the third generation, our story continues to evolve—honoring a rich heritage while creating sweet memories—and proudly carrying our legacy forward, adding new flavors, one delightful taste at a time.
